Thank you Oregon!
On behalf of the staff, volunteers, board members and most importantly the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon, THANK YOU for making Polar Plunge Oregon 2010 a splashing success! Polar Plunge Oregon expanded from two plunges to five, and you pulled through for us. We cannot thank you enough.
Portland 750 people raised $110,000
Medford 200 people raised $20,000
Eugene 160 people raised $17,000
Corvallis 250 people raised $28,000
Bend 450 people raised $60,000
That’s right! Over 1,800 people raised $235,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon. Thank you.
Are you interested in re-living your plunge? Check out photos from each plunge here.
Proceeds from Polar Plunge Oregon will go towards Special Olympics Oregon’s mission: to deliver sports training and athletic competition to thousands of athletes in local communities state-wide during the winter, summer and fall sports seasons.
Polar Plunge Oregon is a Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) event. LETR is the largest grass roots fundraising effort for Special Olympics. Polar Plunges in Oregon could not have happened without the tremendous support of Law Enforcement from around the state. Law Enforcement made this event happen, and we are so incredibly grateful.
