WHAT IS SPECIAL OLYMPICS?




We are a year-round sports training and competition program
for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Athletes must be at least 8 years of age to participate.

BOWLING SEASON
ROLLING ALONG!
Saturdays, 1 to 3 p.m. at Caveman Bowl
Assistant Coaches
& other volunteers are needed!
We have more than 80 bowlers registered!!
Double the participation during the 2007 season!!!

SPECIAL OLYMPICS
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
u All athletes must complete a Special Olympics Application for Participation
with a medical release signed by a physician.
u Athletes are required to sign and adhere to the SOOR Athlete Code of Conduct
u Athletes must complete a minimum of 3 practice sessions
prior to their first level of competition (Regional Games)
u All athletes must participate in a regional competition to be eligible
to compete at State Games
u Athletes must have a valid medical form on file with SOOR
before being allowed to participate.
uAthletes who do not have this requirement by the first practice
will not be eligible for participation and competition.
