Find a Program Near You
Below is a list of Special Olympics Oregon Local Programs. A Local Program (LP) consists of a local group of children and adults with intellectual disabilities who wish to train and compete in Special Olympics and a Local Program Coordinator (LPC) willing to organize safe, quality training for these athletes. The LPC oversees all aspects of the LP including training, competition, fundraising, public relations, family involvement, financial responsibilities, and administration. They receive all mailings, phone calls and paper work for the LP and are responsible for distributing and communicating all pertinent information to their Local Program Team (LPT), head coaches, assistant coaches and family members as appropriate. An LPC agrees to uphold the philosophy, principles and policies of Special Olympics Oregon for the benefit of the athletes.
