Volunteers
Volunteering with Special Olympics creates change that carries forth from our Programs and into the world. Whether you’re an individual or a member of a school, church, work, civic, or other group; whether you can volunteer for just a few hours on a single day as a scorekeeper, or several hours a week, year-round, as a special-events coordinator, there are volunteer opportunities for you.
Our athletes are clearly why we exist, but our volunteers are how we exist. Special Olympics would not be here today — and could not have been created — without the time, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm of its diverse volunteers. We have 7,000 volunteers that provide 70,000 hours of service every year! These volunteers serve as coaches, officials, committee members, competition assistants, and much more. Whether they participate for one day or for several years, volunteers make a difference in the lives of Special Olympics athletes and in their communities.
We are so fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers ... like you to help with these events during our busy summer:

With the launch of the “Our Games Are Always” campaign, we're reminding Oregonians that all year long, Special Olympics Oregon athletes are getting to live their dream. And because our games don't ever stop, neither does our need for support. Give today to keep the organization strong.
