The 2018 Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, February 10th at Maurie Jacobs Park along the Willamette River.  Join our ESSO team or challenge your coaches to form a team.

If you are interested in being sponsored to take the Eugene Polar Plunge as a member of the ESSO Champions, please let us know by email  or phone message. As we get sponsors, we will be contacting you closer to the event.

State Competition: November: Soccer & Aquatics 
Winter (Dec.– Mar.): Basketball,  Alpine Skiing, Snowshoeing, Snowboarding, Powerlifting

Oregon Team Wellness:  Offered each season, day and time to be arranged

WELLNESS IS A SPORT IN OREGON! – Are you looking for a fun way to get healthier and more fit? Signing up for the Oregon Team Wellness (OTW) program is a great start.

Sessions will involve exercises, stretching and eating healthy all designed to make you an all round healthier athlete. We will have incentives & prizes and good food.

Come join us for 8 sessions and become stronger, more flexible and healthier.
Let’s make Eugene/Springfield the healthiest program in the state!

Winter Practice Schedule 

Oregon Team Wellness: Will not be offered this season.
Basketball—Adult: Bob Keefer Sports Center (Willamalane) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, 5-8pm depending on team placement. Practices start Jan 2, 3, or 4.
Basketball Youth (12-20): Fridays 6:30-8pm, Twin Rivers Church, 1660 Mohawk Blvd Spfld starts Jan 5
Basketball Skills: adult & youth/Adult 3v3: Thursdays 5-6pm starting Jan 4
Powerlifting: Springfield Police Department, Sundays 12-1:30pm & Wednesdays 6:30-8pm starting Jan 3

Regional Competitions:
Basketball: Mar 10 Grants Pass
Powerlifting: Mar TBA  

New Registration Methods:

We are working on sending out registration information by emails now.  It's saving our program a lot of money and it gets to you faster this way.  If you have email and would like to receive information this way, please let us know.

There are four ways you can register for each season.  Please consider registering as soon as you receive your flyer or email.

How to Sign up: Athlete Initial Signup Procedure

Your athlete will need to visit his/her doctor to get a Special Olympics medical form signed. Once the signed medical has been returned, your athlete will be on the mailing list and will receive registration information for upcoming seasons as well as the newsletter about other activities happening in the area.

If you have an interest in volunteering with our program, please contact us.
