Oregon Team Wellness:  Offered each season, day and time to be arranged

WELLNESS IS A SPORT IN OREGON! – Are you looking for a fun way to get healthier and more fit? Signing up for the Oregon Team Wellness (OTW) program is a great start.

Sessions will involve exercises, stretching and eating healthy all designed to make you an all round healthier athlete. We will have incentives & prizes and good food.

Come join us for 8 sessions and become stronger, more flexible and healthier.
Let’s make Eugene/Springfield the healthiest program in the state!

OTW training will be open to athletes with or without partners. Partners can be sister, brothers, friends, coworkers, parents, care providers, etc.

 

WINTER PRACTICE SCHEDULE

All adult basketball teams will be practicing at Willamalane Sports Center—practices will be either Wednesdays or Thursdays depending on team assigned.

Basketball: First practice for all basketball players will be Thursday Dec. 15 from 5:30-7pm. This will be a team selection practice. Actual practice times/locations will be determined by team assigned.  Practices will re-start Wednesday or Thursday Jan. 4/5
Youth Team: 6-7pm Hamlin Middle School. First practice Thursday Jan. 5
All age Skills: 6-7pm Hamlin Middle School. First practice Wednesday Jan. 4


Powerlifting: Sundays, 11-12:30pm, and Wednesdays 6:30-8pm , Springfield Police Department. First practice Sunday Jan.8
Oregon Team Wellness: Tuesdays 6-7:30pm Willamalane Sports Center. First session Tuesday Jan 3

Snowsports: You should already be registered and participating in Conditioning.

Regional Competitions:


Basketball: Grants Pass, Mar. 18. We may go down the night before so be available Friday Mar. 17
Powerlifting: Grants Pass, Mar. 18. We may  be leaving Friday evening Mar 17

Winter State Snow Games:
Snowsports: Mt. Bachelor, Bend, Feb. 25-26 , We will be leaving early Friday Feb. 24
 

 

      
How to Sign up: Athlete Initial Signup Procedure
 

Your athlete will need to visit his/her doctor to get a Special Olympics medical form signed. Once the signed medical has been returned, your athlete will be on the mailing list and will receive registration information for upcoming seasons as well as the newsletter about other activities happening in the area.

Volunteers:

If you have an interest in volunteering with our program, please contact us. We are always looking for coaches, people to help with fundraising or just helping out.  We will guide you through the volunteer registration process.
